The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied today another disinformation, disseminated by Azerbaijan claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces fired small arms at Azerbaijani military positions on the eastern part of Armenian-Azerbaijani border on May 18.

YEREVAN, May 18. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied today another disinformation, disseminated by Azerbaijan claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces fired small arms at Azerbaijani military positions on the eastern part of Armenian-Azerbaijani border on May 18.

According to the Armenian ministry, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and under the full control of the Armenian Armed Forces.

In another defense-related news, Armen Babayan, an Armenian contract serviceman, was wounded on May 17 in a mine explosion. The incident occurred at around 4:15 pm, the Ministry of Defense informed, saying that the serviceman’s life was not in danger.

It said an investigation into the circumstances of the incident was under way.-0-
