Mirzoyan – Kallas: Unblocking communications will significantly affect the expansion of connectivity in the South Caucasus

YEREVAN, August 11. /ARKA/. On Monday, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas.
Referring to the Washington agreements of August 8, Mirzoyan stressed the importance of initialing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan as the most important stage in the process of normalizing relations between the two countries.
He stressed that the implementation of the agreement reached on unblocking regional communications, in particular, the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project, will have a significant impact on expanding connectivity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
The interlocutors also touched upon the development of the Armenia-EU partnership and the importance of ensuring the inclusiveness of regional programs.
