Mirzoyan and Raisi emphasize deepening of cooperation between Iran and Armenia

YEREVAN, October 23. /ARKA/. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi received today in Tehran Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
It said the two men noted with satisfaction that the two neighboring and friendly countries have established a high-level political dialogue based on mutual respect and millennial brotherhood of the two peoples.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the Iranian President attached importance to the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in different areas. Mirzoyan and Raisi also discussed regional and international security issues.
Ararat Mirzoyan is in Tehran to take part in the so-called 3+3 regional platform with peers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Georgia and Armenia. The platform, which first held talks in 2021, were to include also Georgia, but Georgia has stated previously it did not plan to participate in the initiative and said on Sunday it will not be coming to Tehran.
