Mirzoyan visits France, President of French National Assembly invited to Armenia

YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will be paying a working visit to Paris on November 10.

In Paris Mirzoyan is scheduled to meet with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna and other French officials, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reports. The minister will also take part in the Fifth Paris Peace Forum.

In the meantime, the President of the French National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet was invited by Deputy Speaker of Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan to pay an official visit to Armenia, the press service of the Armenian parliament reported.

It said Arshakyan who had a meeting with Yaël Braun-Pivet in Paris, thanked France for the exclusive solidarity and support for Armenia and the Armenian people.

He highly assessed France's targeted response at the highest state level to Azerbaijan's military aggression against the in internationally recognized sovereign territory of Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon September aggression of Azerbaijan, its geopolitical and humanitarian consequences, maximalist and aggressive policy of Baku and the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process.

The role of the international community in establishing a lasting peace in the region, including the efforts of the EU led by the French President and the activity of the EU observer mission in assessing the borderline situation in Armenia were singled out.

At the end of the meeting Brown-Pivet reaffirmed the solidarity of the National Assembly and the whole France with Armenia and the Armenian people. --0--
