YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. More than 53% of respondents of a public opinion survey conducted by the Armenian office of GALLUP International Association believe that there are sufficient resources to initiate the impeachment process against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian branch of Gallup International Association, 35.1% of Armenian citizens said that there are definitely enough resources, 18.6% believe that there are most likely enough resources, 17.8% believe that there are not enough resources, 9.7% believe that there are most likely not enough resources, and 18.8% of respondents found it difficult to answer.

A total of 1,000 respondents participated in the telephone survey, which was conducted on June 23-25 in Armenia.

On April 28, members of a movement called “We Are Awake ”, founded by Narek Malyan, former Armenian ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan, and a group of opposition figures, sent individual letters to members of the Armenian parliament initiating a 10-day process to pass a vote of no confidence in Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Both opposition factions, Armenia (28 MPs) and I Have Honor (6 MPs), have declared their support for the initiative.

A vote of no confidence in the current prime minister can only be discussed in the National Assembly if at least 36 MPs provide the signatures necessary to initiate the process. It is noted that a minimum of 54 votes (a simple majority of MPs) is required for the process to be successful.-0-
