Moscow ready to continue assisting Yerevan and Baku in talks on delimitation of state border

YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. The Russian side is willing to continue providing consultative and technical assistance to Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimitation and security commissions, the Russian Foreign Ministry said following the second meeting of the commissions in Moscow on Tuesday. The sides were headed by Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian deputy prime ministers Shahin Mustafayev, Mher Grigoryan and Alexei Overchuk respectively.
The dates of the new meeting will be additionally agreed through diplomatic channels, it said.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed organizational and procedural issues, and had a substantive exchange of views on the future work and rules of joint activities of the commissions. They thanked Russia for the good organization of the meeting. The parties agreed to hold the third meeting within the agreed timeframe.
The commissions were established on May 23 year by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Their first meeting was held on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on May 24. -0-
