YEREVAN, December 7. /ARKA/. Russia is ready to provide all necessary assistance for a new meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on its territory, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, TASS reported.

"Russia is certainly ready to provide all necessary assistance to host such a meeting," the Kremlin spokesman said when asked.

Speaking about the informal CIS summit, which may take place in St. Petersburg at the end of the year, he said: "There are ideas for holding such a meeting before the New Year <...> and when all the agreements are finalized, we will make an appropriate announcement".

"On the meeting [between Aliyev and Pashinyan], too, if there is an understanding, we will inform you," Peskov concluded.

Earlier, the head of Armenia's parliamentary standing committee on foreign relations, Eduard Aghajanyan, did not rule out the possibility of another meeting at the level of the heads of state or foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan before the end of the year. -0-
