Arsen Torosyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract party, head of the Health Committee, and a former Minister of Health, has submitted a resignation letter to the Speaker of the Parliament, Alen Simonyan, as announced on the parliament’s website.

YEREVAN, August 20. /ARКА/. Arsen Torosyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract party, head of the Health Committee, and a former Minister of Health, has submitted a resignation letter to the Speaker of the Parliament, Alen Simonyan, as announced on the parliament’s website.

Arsen Torosyan was elected to the parliament in the elections held on June 20, 2021.

In accordance with the "Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly," the Speaker of the Parliament is required to make a statement if the applicant withdraws the resignation in writing within a week of its submission.

Should the member of parliament fail to withdraw the resignation within this timeframe, a protocol regarding the termination of his/her powers will be prepared, signed, and made public by the Speaker.

The resignation is deemed accepted from the moment the protocol is published.-0-
