The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has already released the list of the members of the new National Assembly.

YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has already released the list of the members of the new National Assembly.

There is 105 MPs in the list, Tigran Mukuchyan, head of the commission told journalists on Thursday.   

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia has 58 MPs or 55.2% of the total number, Tsarukyan bloc 31 and Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutiun seven. 

YELQ bloc, the only opposition political force in the parliament, has nine representatives in the National Assembly. 

It was reported yesterday that Vigen Sargsyan, Armenian defense minister, who topped Armenian Republicans’ party list in the recent parliamentary elections, has officially informed the Central Electoral Commission that he would not leave office for a seat in the National Assembly. 

Hermine Harutyunyan, press secretary of the commission, reported on her Facebook page that his fellow partisans Taron Margaryan, Yerevan mayor, and Armen Amiryan, culture minister, have done the same.
Davit Lokyan, territorial administration and development minister, Levon Mkrtchyan, education and science minister, and Artsvik Minasyan, environment minister, all Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutiun party members, preferred not to leave their ministerial seats for parliamentary activity as well.  

Tsarukyan bloc will be represented in the parliament by Gagik Tsarukyan, the head of the bloc, Argam Abrahamyan, son of former prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan, as well as Naira Zohrabyan, Vardan Bortanjyan, Tigran Urikhanyan and others. 

The Republican Party of Armenia will be represented in the National Assembly by Arpine Hovhannisyan, the current justice minister, who will leave office for parliamentary activity, Armen Ahsotyan, former education minister as well as parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan, vice-speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, another vice speaker, Hermine Naghdalyan, Karen Bekaryan, Samvel Alexanyan, Mihran POghosyan, Artak Sargsyan, Hakob Beglaryan, Arman Sahakyan etc.   

Dshanaktsutiun party’s MPs are Armen Rustamyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, Andranik Karapetyan, Romik Manuklyan, Suren Manukyan, Armenuhi Kyureghyan and Arman Babayan.

YELQ bloc’s MPs are Nikol Pahsinyan, Ararat Mirzoyan, Edmon Marukyan, Aram Sargsyan, Sasun Mikayelyan, Artak Zeynalyan, Lena Nazaryan, Mane Tandilyan and Gevorg Gorgisyan. 

The first session of the new parliament is scheduled for May 18. --0---
