Municipality: 20 electronic boards with time-table of public transport to start operating in Yerevan soon

YEREVAN, July 19./ARKA/. Some 20 electronic boards with time-table of public transport will be installed in the central streets of Yerevan and will start operating before August 10, Henrik Navasardyan, chief of the municipality’s division in charge of public transport, told ARKA News Agency today.
YEREVAN, July 19./ARKA/. Some 20 electronic boards with time-table of public transport will be installed in the central streets of Yerevan and will start operating before August 10, Henrik Navasardyan, chief of the municipality’s division in charge of public transport, told ARKA News Agency today.
“As many as 50 time-table boards will be installed in the capital city,” he said. “Vehicles are equipped with GPS-navigators for tracking their location and causes of their being late. If traffic accident happens, the navigators will show where buses are trapped.”
Navasardyan also added that all these 50 boards will start operating before the end of this year.
Yerevan has four types of public transportation – minibuses, buses, trolleybuses and subway.
Starting from July 20, Yerevan residents have to pay 150 drams for traveling by buses and minibuses instead of the present 100 drams. Traveling by trolleybus will cost 100 drams instead of the current 50 drams. Subway fare remained unchanged, at 100 drams. ---0----
