Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) should become a party to the negotiation process on the conflict settlement, Inaritu John Garcia, a Spanish parliament member from Aralar party (it represents the interests of the Basque Country), said today in Yerevan after visiting the NKR.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) should become a party to the negotiation process on the conflict settlement, Inaritu John Garcia, a Spanish parliament member from Aralar party (it represents the interests of the Basque Country), said today in Yerevan after visiting the NKR.
According to him, the Karabakh conflict should be resolved through peaceful negotiations. Asked whether he was not concerned that Azerbaijan would include his name in the "black list" for visiting Nagorno-Karabakh he said the European Parliament had adopted several resolutions which call on European countries to improve their relations with Karabakh.
"Our visit to Nagorno-Karabakh was in tune with European Parliament’s resolutions," he added.
Garcia was in Karabakh together with another European Parliament member, Inakil Razabalbetia Fernandez, a member of the Greens and European Free Alliance, representing the interests of the Basque Country in the European Parliament.
The MPs had meetings with Karabakh president, prime minister, speaker of parliament and civil society representatives.
John Inaritu Garcia is the author of a resolution calling for the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, which was rejected by the Spanish government. -0-
