Narek Sargsyan appointed as head of state committee for urban planning

Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has appointed Narek Sargsyan as head of the newly established State Committee for Urban Planning, the government press office reported.

YEREVAN, October 11. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has appointed Narek Sargsyan as head of the newly established State Committee for Urban Planning, the government press office reported.
Narek Sargsyan graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1980. He has a PhD, and is an Associate Professor of the Yerevan Institute of Architecture and Construction.
From 2008 to 2011 Sargsyan served as deputy minister of urban planning. In 2011-2013 he served as chief architect of Yerevan. In 2014 he was appointed as minister of urban planning and held the position until lately when the ministry was reorganized into a Committee. -0-
