NATO does not bring anything good to the security of the South Caucasus - Zakharova

YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. NATO does not bring anything good to the security of the South Caucasus, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
“On the contrary, the main goal is to “destabilize” the region, set it against each other, create new hotbeds of tension,” Zakharova noted at a briefing on Wednesday, answering a question about Azerbaijan’s active cooperation with NATO, its impact on stability and security in the region in light of the latest military exercises between Azerbaijan and NATO’s leading member, Turkey.
Zakharova expressed hope that “both Baku and Yerevan equally understand our main concerns on this matter, and fully assess the risks of deepening their cooperation with aggressive military blocs.”
