New posts are expected to be created in the Armenian government shortly. In particular the next Armenian premier will have three deputy prime-ministers with one of them acting as first deputy, “Hayatsk” (Glance) newspaper says.
YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. New posts are expected to be created in the Armenian government shortly. In particular the next Armenian premier will have three deputy prime-ministers with one of them acting as first deputy, “Hayatsk” (Glance) newspaper says.
The current defense minister Seyran Ohanyan will become first deputy prime-minister, leaving his post to the current chief of the police Vladimir Gasparyan, the newspaper says referring to its sources.
The country’s emergencies minister Armen Yeritsyan will be appointed chief of the police.
Unverified information points to Khachik Asryan from the youth wing of the Republic Party of Armenia to be appointed minister of emergencies, according to the newspaper.
Under the Armenian constitution, the president accepts the government resignation on the inauguration day (50 days after the election). The president is to appoint a new premier enjoying the majority confidence in the parliament within 10 days after accepting the resignation. After that, the government is formed within 20 days after the appointment of the premier. –0--
