New governor appointed for Armavir province
YEREVAN, January 11. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved today the appointment of Mayor of Armavir town Davit Khudatyan as governor of the same name Armenian province.
The former governor Edward Hovhannisyan was dismissed from his post on January 5 this year by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Lori province governor Aram Khachatryan and the chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Goularyan were also dismissed.
Earlier this month Prime Minister Pashinyan visited these provinces to see progress in the implementation of a number of projects co-financed by the government, mainly school buildings. Pashinyan was dissatisfied with the quality of repair and construction work and said "he will not tolerate such things." --0--
