YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. David Babayan, who is press secretary of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President, announced in a Facebook post today the establishment of a political party called the Conservative Party of Artsakh.

In the statement he says the politics in Artsakh has entered a new phase of dynamic development and what is happening has a direct impact on Artsakh citizens.

‘Every patriot and a conscious person should take part in the public and political life of our country, thereby contributing to its development, strengthening and protection," he wrote.

According to Babayan, he and his supporters highly appreciate all the successes and victories of the last three decades, but at the same time, today's social and political life, geopolitical processes are changing dynamically, requiring that people with the high potential, professional skills and high moral get involved in the political life of the country.

“Taking into account these imperatives, we want to take an active part in the development and strengthening of our country, to protect the interests of the people by applying new ideas and approaches in the process of state-building. In this context, we are preparing to take an active part in the parliamentary elections in 2020 year," he wrote.

He said the newly created party’s slogan is "professionalism, honesty, patriotism and diligence."

"In domestic political life, we do not oppose anyone and do not consider anyone as enemy. Moreover, any division or polarization in society is unacceptable to us. Our greatest strength lies in our unity," wrote Babayan. -0-
