No Armenian citizens among Barcelona attack victims

Armenian Foreign Ministry said according to information from the Armenian Embassy in Spain, no Armenian citizens are among the victims of a terrorist act in Barcelona on 7th August.

YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Ministry said according to information from the Armenian Embassy in Spain, no Armenian citizens are among the victims of a terrorist act in Barcelona on 7th August. A van drove into crowds of people in the centre of the city, in a tourist area called Las Ramblas.
The attack left 13 dead and more than a hundred injured. Police said they had also killed five attackers overnight in Cambrils, a town south of Barcelona. Spanish police now believe the terror attack in Barcelona was one of a number of planned assaults. Police said also a third person has been arrested in connection with a suspected Islamist militant attack in Barcelona and another incident in Cambrils. -0-
