YEREVAN, January 25. /ARKA/. The situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on January 24 and 25 has been stable and no border incidents have been recorded, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

It said that according to the information received from Armenia's National Security Service, no incidents have been registered on the Vorotan-David-Bek section of the Goris-Kapan interstate highway, which is in the area of responsibility of the border troops of the National Security Service.

"The subdivisions of the Armenian Armed Forces and the border troops of the National Security Service control the border situation along the entire length of the border strip and carry out the assigned tasks," the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

After the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan signed a statement on the cessation of all hostilities in Artsakh on November 9, more than 190 settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent seven districts were placed under the control of Azerbaijan.

As a result, the borders of the Syunik region in the south of Armenia (including the administrative center Kapan) appeared to be in close proximity to the new borders of Azerbaijan, drawn during the Soviet time.
