No potential candidates for premier’s post named by Republican Party of Armenia
YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. The Republican Party of Armenia has not named any candidates for premier’s post yet.

Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan resigned late Thursday April 3, and the resignation was accepted.

Vice-speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said the issue is still to be discussed.

Sharmazanov stressed the decision about the premier’s resignation was not spontaneous and had been discussed during a month.

The vice-speaker also said the resignation is not linked to the process of no-confidence vote against the government.

Four non-ruling factions of the parliament – ARF Dashnaktsutiun, Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia and Heritage, achieved an agreement on a motion of no-confidence at March 19 closed-door parliament session and decided to hold 24-hour rallies at the Liberty Square in Yerevan on April 28-30. –0--
