Armenia’s minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan discussed defense cooperation issues with US deputy assistant secretary of defense Evelyn Farkas on Wednesday, the press office of the Armenian ministry of defense reported.

YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan discussed defense cooperation issues with US deputy assistant secretary of defense Evelyn Farkas on Wednesday, the press office of the Armenian ministry of defense reported.

Farkas arrived in Armenia with the US delegation headed by Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland. Among members of the delegation were high-ranking officials from US Army Europe Headquarters.

The sides talked about issues of mutual interest within the defense cooperation between the countries, says the report.

Ohanyan and Farkas pointed out that the cooperation develops dynamically in atmosphere of transparency and mutual trust.

Regional security issues were discussed at the meeting. –0--
