Ollande congratulates Armenian president-elect

France’s president Francois Ollande congratulated Armenia’s president-elect Serzh Sargsyan on his re-election, press service of Armenian president reported.
YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. France’s president Francois Ollande congratulated Armenia’s president-elect Serzh Sargsyan on his re-election, press service of Armenian president reported.
“I am sure your victory will strengthen your will toward creation of democratic, stable and prosperous Armenia that lives in peace with its neighbors. I would kike to once more stress that France is ready to assist you in your efforts”, the message says.
French president also confirmed his determination to do his best for securing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Ollande also expressed his personal loyalty to Armenian-French friendship.
“I am confident further bilateral initiatives will open up opportunities for strengthening particularly the economic cooperation, which is still not up to the level of the political dialogue between our countries”, Ollande said.
According to the preliminary ballot count results from all 1,988 polling stations Armenia’s incumbent president Sezrh Sargsyan won re-election with 861,378 votes or 58.64% Monday. Raffi Hovannisian polled 539,674 votes or 36.74%, Hrant Bagratyan - 31,643 votes or 2.15%, Paruyr Hayrikyan - 18,093 votes or 1.23%, Andrias Ghukasyan - 8,328 votes or 0.57%, Arman Melikyan - 3,520 votes or 0.24% andVardan Sedrakyan – 6,203 votes or 0.42%. -0-
