“Orinats Yerkir” to support current president Sargsyan in upcoming Armenian elections

“Orinats Yerkir” party will support current Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination in the upcoming elections of February 18, 2013, Novosti-Armenia Agency reported. The decision was made at the 11th congress of the party, Novosti-Armenia reported referring to head of “Orinats Yerkir” parliament faction Heghine Bisharyan.

YEREVAN, December 24. /ARKA/. “Orinats Yerkir” party will support current Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination in the upcoming elections of February 18, 2013, Novosti-Armenia Agency reported. The decision was made at the 11th congress of the party, Novosti-Armenia reported referring to head of “Orinats Yerkir” parliament faction Heghine Bisharyan.
“Orinats Yerkir” (Country of lawfulness) party was founded in 1997 by the current secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan. The party holds six parliament seats and three cabinet posts.
Armenian presidential elections are scheduled for February 18, 2013. Presidential nominations will start on December 25 and will end on January 4. Nominees will be registered between January 4 and January 14. The election campaign is to start from January 21 and to continue till February 16, 24:00. –0--
