Over 22 billion drams designated for renovation, construction, and enhancement of educational institutions and museums in Armenia

YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has earmarked approximately 22 billion 887 million drams for the construction, renovation, design, enhancement, and equipping of schools, kindergartens, educational and cultural institutions, universities, and museums.
"Some 8.95 billion drams have been allocated for the school construction initiative, 2.5 billion drams for educational complexes, 9.3 billion drams for the repair and reconstruction of schools, as well as for initiating the construction of new facilities," stated Araksiya Svadjyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
As per the justification for this decision, a portion of the funds will be utilized to renovate the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House, the Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theater, the statues in front of the Matenadaran, and the building of the Theater and Cinema Institute.
Additionally, some funds will be allocated for excavations in the Getamerdz region of the Ararat region. Furniture and equipment will be procured for the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, the Sundukyan Theater, the Chamber Theater, and several other theaters across the regions of Armenia ($1 - 384.03 drams).-0-
