61.3% of respondents in a social survey believe there are political prisoners in Armenia, stated Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian office of the Gallup International Association.
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. 61.3% of respondents in a social survey think there are political prisoners in Armenia, stated Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian office of the Gallup International Association.
"22% of respondents answered that there are none, and 15.7% were undecided," Navasardyan noted at a press conference on Friday.
He reported that 64.9% of people answered that it was Samvel Karapetyan, 36.2% that it was Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, 33% that it was Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhyan, 19.4% that it was Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, 4.7% that it was "Imnemnimi" podcast host Narek Samsonyan, 4.4% that it was "Sacred Struggle" movement member Lida Mantashyan, 3.2% that it was "Imnemnimi" podcast host Vazgen Saghatelyan, 2.9% that it was Masis Mayor Davit Hambardzumyan, and 1.4% that it was RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan.
The telephone survey, conducted in Armenia from November 27 to December 5, involved 1,001 respondents.
