Over 70% of roadmap for Armenia’s accession to CU completed - president

Armenia has implemented over 70% of measures envisaged in the roadmap for its accession to the Customs Union (CU), Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said in his welcoming message to participants of the conference “Armenia-Customs Union – opportunities and challenges” that started in Yerevan Saturday.

YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. Armenia has implemented over 70% of measures envisaged in the roadmap for its accession to the Customs Union (CU), Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said in his welcoming message to participants of the conference “Armenia-Customs Union – opportunities and challenges” that started in Yerevan Saturday.
Close cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission and the respective structures of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan helped ensure substantial progress in the accession process, the message says.
The next step, the president said, will be signing of an international legal document to record Armenia’s membership in the CU.
The welcoming message of Russia’s premier Dmitry Medvedev to the conference guests says the implementation of the roadmap is successfully under way. –0--
