PACE Monitoring Committee ready to continue close cooperation with Armenia
YEREVAN, September 29. /ARКА/. Today in Strasbourg, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Boriana Aberg and Piero Fassino, co-rapporteurs on Armenia’s commitments to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe, the steps being taken in the field of strengthening democratic institutions, human rights protection and judicial reforms, the Armenian government reported.

Prime Minister Pashinyan highlighted the involvement of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in promoting Armenia’s democratic agenda and emphasized the Government’s readiness to continue cooperation in the areas of the rule of law and human rights protection.

The co-rapporteurs highly appreciated the progress recorded in Armenia and expressed confidence that Armenia will continue to consistently implement its commitments. They reaffirmed the readiness of the PACE Monitoring Committee to continue close cooperation.-0-
