Either European or Eurasian integration is important for Armenia and these directions supplement, not contradict each other, Eduard Sharmazanov, vice-speaker of Armenian National Assembly said Friday as met with lawmakers and political analysts from Baltic countries in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, April 12. /ARKA/. Either European or Eurasian integration is important for Armenia and these directions supplement, not contradict each other, Eduard Sharmazanov, vice-speaker of Armenian National Assembly said Friday as met with lawmakers and political analysts from Baltic countries in Yerevan.
“The rich experience Baltic countries have got on their way to integration may be useful for Armenia,” he said.
Nikolay Kabanov, a member of the Latvian Seima, said that Armenia has favorable ground for implementing joint programs in the higher education and tourism areas. He said Armenia has also room for expanding its trade with Baltic countries.
Sharmazamov, who is also the head of the parliamentary group of friendship with Baltic countries, shared Kabanov’s opinion that trade turnover between the two countries should be expanded.
He expressed readiness to support all cooperation and integration programs.
The delegation of politicians and political analysts from Baltic Countries came to Yerevan to attend a conference focused on Armenia’s geopolitical and integration prospects.---0----
