Pashinyan and Trump sign three memorandums of understanding between Armenia and the United States

YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Yesterday, during the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and US President Donald Trump at the White House, the two leaders signed memorandums of understanding.
According to the government press service, the following were signed:
- Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of the Republic of Armenia and the United States on partnership in developing the capabilities of the Crossroads of Peace project
- Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of the Republic of Armenia and the United States on innovative partnership in artificial intelligence and semiconductors
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the governments of the Republic of Armenia and the United States on partnership in the field of energy security.
Pashinyan and Trump also discussed ways to consistently develop and expand Armenian-American relations.
The day before, Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia, reported that the memorandum on the Crossroads of Peace" assumes that the United States will cooperate with Armenia in implementing this infrastructure program, as well as making investments, particularly in developing customs and border technical capabilities.
According to Khandanyan, within the framework of the second document, the United States will cooperate with and support Armenia on energy security issues. Particular importance is attached to developing civil nuclear energy, and the United States has expressed its readiness to invest in this area. Specifically, regarding the construction of a new nuclear power plant, the United States will provide tangible support to Armenia.
Regarding the third document, the MP noted that the United States and Armenia will collaborate with the private sector to evaluate Armenia's capabilities and determine where to invest.-0-
