Pashinyan: Armenia is currently operating under framework of Fourth Republic

YEREVAN, September 20. /ARКА/. Armenia is already living in the conditions of the Fourth Republic, declared Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"And we are faced with the task of changing our style of work – to understand and see that, ultimately, we live in a different country," he told reporters after the 7th Congress of the ruling Civil Contract Party.

He also noted that after August 8, when the Washington Declaration was signed, it is impossible not to see a Fourth Republic.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that the ruling party cannot claim to be the architect of the Fourth Republic, as it is the populace that holds that distinction, adding that "the Third Republic has not obstructed us in any manner, nor does it impede us now."

During the 7th Congress of the ruling Civil Contract Party, a declaration was passed that identifies the establishment of the Fourth Republic of Armenia as a forthcoming strategic goal.

Additional elements of the declaration include the anticipation of forming a constitutional majority after the 2026 parliamentary elections, conducting a constitutional referendum, endorsing the principle of the inviolability of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia (29,743 square kilometers), enhancing efforts towards EU membership, and fostering peaceful relations with all neighboring countries.-0-
