Pashinyan believes his party will win next parliamentary elections

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that his fellow citizens will extend the mandate of his Civil Contract Party to continue governing the country after the next parliamentary elections scheduled for 2026.
"The citizens are the architect of this policy, based on peace agenda," Pashinyan stated to reporters during a press briefing on Tuesday in Strasbourg, he is visiting to attend a PACE session.
In relation to the potential for snap elections, he mentioned that the ruling party had deliberated on the matter and ultimately dismissed it.
He clarified that the Civil Contract Party had entered the electoral process in 2021 with a conventional military-patriotic electoral platform, but subsequently altered its political narrative and strategic vision, which is evident in the government's platform.
"According to this program, the government's paramount responsibility to the citizens from 2021 to 2026 is to initiate an era of peaceful development. We have honored this commitment, and the people will determine the future of the peace agenda they have crafted in the 2026 elections," Pashinyan remarked.
The forthcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia are set to take place in June 2026.-0-
