Pashinyan congratulates Friedrich Merz on taking office as German Chancellor
YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to the new Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz on the occasion of taking office.
"Germany is a reliable partner of Armenia, and the Armenian government attaches great importance to the continuous development of multi-sectoral cooperation with it. I am confident that during your tenure, the friendly relations between our countries, based on common values and mutual trust, will continue to expand," the congratulatory message published by the Armenian government's press service reads.
Pashinyan also highly appreciated Germany's support for Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the democratic reform process being implemented in Armenia, as well as the further deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership. "I am confident that through effective cooperation we will also be able to significantly intensify economic ties between Armenia and Germany. I wish you success in your responsible mission, peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Germany," the message says.
