Pashinyan and Euronest vice-president discussed unblocking communications and dialogue with Turkey

YEREVAN, Feb. 21. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today a delegation led by a European Parliament member and vice president of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Andrius Kubilius, the government's press service reported.
It said during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on regional and international security and stability issues. Pashinyan presented Armenia's position on developments in the region, unblocking communications, delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and the dialogue between Armenia and Turkey.
Pashinyan also touched upon his meetings in Brussels with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev mediated by the President of the European Council and the President of France, as well as the results of the February 4 video conference with participation of Ilham Aliyev, Emmanuel Macron and the President of the European Council Charles Michel..
The Prime Minister stressed the necessity of ensuring the entry of the UNESCO mission and international humanitarian organizations to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone for the preservation of the Armenian historical-cultural and religious heritage.
On February 21-22 Armenia’s capital Yerevan is be hosting the meetings of the Bureau and commissions of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
The Euronest Parliamentary Assembly consists of a delegation from the European Parliament and delegations from the EU's Eastern European Partners - countries that participate in the Eastern Partnership initiative: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The European Parliament has 60 delegates, and the Eastern European Partners have 10 each.
Earlier on Monday it was reported that two Azerbaijani parliamentarians with an accompanying person have already arrived in Yerevan. -0-
