YEREVAN, July 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin, the prime minister's press service reported.

It said the sides discussed an array of issues related to international and regional security. They also spoke about the processes taking place in the South Caucasus region.

Pashinyan said that Naryshkin's visit is yet another good opportunity to discuss issues on the agenda of the Armenian-Russian allied relations.

He stressed that this year marks the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that joint efforts will make cooperation more effective and strong.

Naryshkin expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that the high-level political dialogue between Armenia and Russia contributes to the development and strengthening of cooperation in various fields.

On July 15 U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns visited Armenia 'to discuss international and regional security and the processes taking place in the South Caucasus as well as the fight against terrorism,” according to the Armenian government.

Earlier, on July 7, Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, visited Yerevan where he met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Armenian opposite number for talks that focused on regional security and Armenian-Iranian economic cooperation. -0-
