Pashinyan: Armenia interested in attracting Jordanian investments

YEREVAN, February 11. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today King of Jordan Abdullah II, who has arrived in Armenia on an official visit, the government press service reported.
It said the two men discussed a number of issues related to the development of the Armenian-Jordanian economic and humanitarian relations.
“Relations with Jordan are very important to us, because we consider the Middle East and your country as a strategic area of partnership. I am very glad that relations between our countries are intensifying,” Pashinyan said. He said there are several special areas that are of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the development of the Armenian-Jordanian economic and humanitarian relations.
The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian economy currently has good development trends, and that a favorable economic environment has been created. He also stressed that the Armenian government is interested in attracting Jordanian business and capital, and there are good prospects for cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia can become a good platform for Jordanian businessmen to enter the market of the Eurasian Economic Union.
In the context of giving a new impetus to bilateral relations, the parties also emphasized the importance of working together to simplify the visa regime. Abdullah II invited Prime Minister Pashinyan to pay an official visit to Jordan. -0-
