YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is now in Iran for an official visit, said in an interview with IRNA that friendly and partner relations with Iran are part of his country’s foreign policy.
He said Armenia remains steadfast in its determination to develop good relations with Iran.
Rating positively the present relations between the two countries, the premier said that the centuries-long relations between the two nations are a good example of an intercultural dialogue and coexistence of different religions and civilizations, and this is an important factor contributing to peace and stability in the region.
“Our cooperation is based on these very centuries-long ties and on principles of mutual understanding and mutual befits,” Pashinyan said.
The prime minister said there is also untapped room for development, especially in trade and economy.
”I am sure that contacts and the dialogue at different levels will also contribute to outlining steps aimed at a full usage of this potential,” he said. -0---
