YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. The governor of Armenia's Armavir marz (province) Edward Hovhannisyan has been relieved of his post by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday.
Hovhannisyan was appointed to the post in December 2021. Previously, he held the post of the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee.
Earlier that week Pashinyan sacked the head of the Urban Development Committee, Armen Ghularyan, and Lori province Governor Aram Khachatryan after inspecting the quality of construction of schools and other facilities financed by the government during a visit to Lori and witnessing a string of flaws. Pashinyan was quoted by the government press office that he would not tolerate such things.-0-
