YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Russian President Vladimir Putin that he would travel to the Russian capital Moscow to attend a military parade to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Word War II Victory, scheduled for June 24.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, on Monday, during a telephone conversation with Putin Pashinyan thanked the Russian president for the invitation. The Armenian Prime Minister expressed hope that he would recover by that time and would be able to take part in all events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
Earlier today Nikol Pashinyan said in a live Facebook broadcast that he and four members of his family tested positive for the coronavirus.
The traditional military parade in Moscow was originally planned for May 9, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also, the Russian President proposed to hold the "Immortal Regiment" procession on July 26 - the day of the Russian Navy (the participants of the procession carry pictures of their fathers and grandfathers who took part in World War II). However, he did not exclude that the event may be postponed to a later date depending on the epidemiological situation. --0--
