Pashinyan says tense situation along Armenian-Azerbaijani border persists
YEREVAN, September 17. /ARKA/. The situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remains tense, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists after voting in the elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders today morning.
"Our assessment of the situation has not changed since the last government meeting," he said in response to a question whether the accumulation of Azerbaijani troops and military equipment on the border continued.
Earlier, Pashinyan said Azerbaijan continued to build up troops along Armenia's border and the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh.
On September 13, the Armenian human rights defender and the Armenian Foreign Ministry accused Azerbaijan of amassing troops and heavy weapons along the contact lines with Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. -0-
