Pashinyan sends congratulatory message to new Russian prime minister

Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message today to Mikhail Mishustin on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message today to Mikhail Mishustin on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
President Vladimir Putin nominated a new prime minister on Wednesday 15 January after the surprise resignation of Dmitry Medvedev, who held the job since 2012. Mishustin had been the head of the Russian tax service since 2010. Russia’s lawmakers approved Mishustin as prime minister on Thursday by a vote of 383 to no votes against and 41 abstentions.
“Please accept my sincere congratulations on your appointment as head of the Government of the Russian Federation. The Government of the Republic of Armenia is committed to active cooperation with the new government of the Russian Federation to further strengthen partnerships in bilateral and multilateral formats, including deeper integration within the Eurasian Economic Union,” Pashinyan's message reads.
Pashinyan expressed confidence that Russia and Armenia will enrich their agenda of the allied partnership and give a new impetus to multilateral cooperation based on the centuries-old friendship of peoples.
The head of the Armenian government wished the Russian colleague good health, prosperity and success in a responsible public office, as well as peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Russia. -0-
