Patrushev: Moscow supports Armenia in regional security issues
YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. On June 16, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan had a meeting with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev, who arrived in Yerevan to take part in the regular meeting of the CSTO Committee of Security Council Secretaries.
Grigoryan said there are all the necessary opportunities and prerequisites for the expansion of the cooperation between the two countries' Security Councils.
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, the two men discussed a wide range of security issues. Patrushev stressed that Armenia is a strategic partner of Russia and that Moscow assists Armenia in regional security issues.
Grigoryan presented to his Russian counterpart the security situation in the region, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the work of demarcation and border security commissions, as well as the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. -0-
