YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with European Council President António Costa, the prime minister’s press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan reported.

The prime minister presented to the head of the European Council the results of the talks held in the US capital Washington on August 8, in particular, the initialing of the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan”, a joint appeal to the OSCE to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group mechanisms, unblocking regional communications within the framework of the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction of countries and on the basis of reciprocity, as well as the “Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity” project.

Pashinyan stressed that the achieved peace opens up new investment opportunities for expanding cooperation between Armenia and the EU.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia-EU agenda, as well as organizational issues of the European Political Community summit, which will be held in Armenia in the spring of 2026.
