Peace cannot be imposed: EU special representative

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARKA/. EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar reacted to Azerbaijan's renewed shelling of Armenian military positions late on Wednesday.
"Today there were again reports of three Armenian soldiers killed and one Azerbaijani wounded. These and many other senseless victims feed hate and instability. Security is only truly possible if borders are respected and troops don’t face each other at close distances. Peace cannot be forced," Klaar tweeted.
Three Armenian soldiers were killed late on Wednesday in renewed border skirmishes provoked by Azerbaijani forces, Armenian Defense Ministry said.
According to it, Armenian troops deployed along “eastern sections” of Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan came under Azerbaijani mortar and small arms fire from 6 p.m. local time. The exchange of gunfire lasted until 10 p.m.-0-.
