YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. The Armenian police department has issued a statement threatening protesters in Yerevan.
The civil unrest led by Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of Civil Contract opposition party and a member of the Armenian parliament, began in Yerevan on April 13. People took to the streets in a protest against the third term of Serzh Sargsyan’s rule.
The protesters paralyzed traffic in the central part of the capital city.
The police department says that “such actions may cost citizens their property, health and lives”.
The police, considering the citizens’ protests as public disorder, say it can resort to appropriate actions to stop public protests. --0---
