YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. Because of a breakdown on the high-voltage power line that transmits electricity from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh power to households and enterprises in Nagorno-Karabakh is supplied with interruptions, the local power distributing company Artsakhenergy said.

The breakdown occurred on January 9 at 14:35 on the only high-voltage transmission line, but Azerbaijan does not allow Artsakh crews to travel to the accident site to fix it.

The company stated that because of Azerbaijan's destructive position it was decided to carry out energy supply at the expense of local generating stations.

"Taking into consideration the situation, blackouts will be implemented since January 10 and information about them is available on Artsakhenergy website and Facebook page, as well as on TV and radio," the statement reads.

The company urged consumers to save electricity as much as possible to avoid additional blackouts. -0-
