Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan will head to Vatikan for a official visit today, the presidential press office reported.

YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan will head to Vatikan for a official visit today, the presidential press office reported.

Sargsyan will have a meeting with the Pope Francis and Vatikan’s Secretary of State cardinal Pietro Parolin.

The president will also attend the opening of the photo exhibition in Vittoriano museum complex entitled “Parables of the Orient. Christianity and the Challenge of the New Millennium”.

Sargsyan will visit San-Bartolomeo church and pay floral tribute to Christian martyrs, including victims of the Armenian genocide.

The president will also visit the permanent exhibition of the Armenian khachkars (cross-stone) in Vatikan museums and will meet with the Christian community of San Egidio and cardinals of Roman Curia. –0--
