Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to His Holiness Pope Francis on the occasion of his 80th birth anniversary and wished him excellent health, all the best and every success in his resolute efforts aimed at strengthening peace in the world, the presidential press service reported.

“You enjoy the deepest respect, great admiration and high repute with the Armenian people and it was proved during your visit to Armenia in June 2016.

Your visit, which was full of cordiality, was a persuasive testimony to the interstate and interchurch traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and the Holy See and an important message of solidarity to the contemporary struggling world,” reads the congratulatory message of the President of Armenia. -0-
