Presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian invites Armenian President in office for debates

Raffi Hovannisian, Heritage party leader and one of presidential candidates in the 2013 presidential election, invites Serzh Sargsyan, Armneian president in office and his rival for presidency in this election, for election debates, Novosti-Armenia News Agency reported on Friday.

YEREVAN, January 18. /ARKA/. Raffi Hovannisian, Heritage party leader and one of presidential candidates in the 2013 presidential election, invites Serzh Sargsyan, Armneian president in office and his rival for presidency in this election, for election debates, Novosti-Armenia News Agency reported on Friday.
He said debates can be open-air or televised, he said at a news conference.
Hocanissian, stressing the importance of development of political culture in the country in the context of elections, didn’t rule out that he may meet also with other presidential candidates for debates.
Serzh Sargsyan, the Armenian president in office; Hrant Bagratyan, a former prime minister and the leader of Freedom party; Raffi Hovannisian, a former foreign minister and the leader of Heritage party; Paruyr Hayrikyan, a prominent Soviet-era dissident and the head of the National Self-Determination Party; Arman Melikyan, a former foreign minister of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic; Andrias Ghukasyan, a political analyst and head of Radio Hay; Vardan Sedrakyan, a specialist in epics, and Aram Harutyunyan, leader of National Consent party will compete for presidency.
