YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. The indicators of the state program for housing affordability for families in border settlements of Armenia for 2022-2025 were discussed on Monday at a meeting in the government chaired by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs David Khachatryan presented details of the program implementation process, in particular, the chronology of transactions by settlements, activity and status. It was reported that as of May 1, 2025, 2,254 transactions had been completed.

Issues related to the further continuation of the program was discussed during the meeting. In particular, the definition of new criteria for participation in the program, the establishment of target groups in accordance with these criteria, as well as the possibility of integrating other groups of citizens with housing problems into the program were considered.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan instructed to conduct a study and provide information on potential beneficiaries meeting the newly established criteria.

During the meeting, he also touched upon the issues raised during his recent working visits to Lori and Tavush regions and gave specific instructions to those in charge.

Speaking about the parallel implementation of the construction of educational complexes and the provision of transport services, Pashinyan noted that the improvement of roads is a prerequisite.

"That is, in those areas where there are educational complexes, road repair is an absolute priority. This should be carried out simultaneously with the establishment of the educational process and the introduction of the transport network," he noted. Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of road markings, instructing to introduce relevant standards and resolve this issue.
