An Armenian Parliament member from the opposition Prosperous Armenia party Gevorg Petrosyan announced today he was walking out from the party's parliamentary faction.

YEREVAN, February 16. / ARKA /. An Armenian Parliament member from the opposition Prosperous Armenia party Gevorg Petrosyan announced today he was walking out from the party's parliamentary faction.

"The lack of determination to give clear and timely political assessments of the obvious illegal persecution and lawlessness in the country is an unacceptable approach for me, and when I made up for this shortcoming and called a spade a spade, I caused an inexplicable concern of some colleagues," Petrosyan wrote in a Facebook post.

According to him, in view of this, he considers it inexpedient to be a member of the faction and will continue his activities as an independent deputy. -0-
