Republic of Armenia ready to show direct military assistance for protection of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

The Republic of Armenia is ready for any developments, and if necessary, it will show direct military assistance in the protection of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan said Sunday during a meeting with military attaches of foreign embassies in Armenia.
YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. The Republic of Armenia is ready for any developments, and if necessary, it will show direct military assistance in the protection of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan said Sunday during a meeting with military attaches of foreign embassies in Armenia.
The press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said Tonoyan briefed the attaches on the situation on the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. He also provided explanations regarding the situation created because of large-scale military aggression by Azerbaijan, as well as the actions of the NKR Defense Army to neutralize and suppress the enemy's offensive. The First Deputy Defense Minister also answered questions from the present.
According to the latest reports from the frontline, Karabakh forces have shot down two helicopters, destroyed 14 tanks, 5 armored vehicles and two drones, killing also more than 200 enemy soldiers. The Armenian side lost 18 men killed and 35 wounded.
On April 3, Azerbaijani troops resumed the shelling of Karabakh positions in the southern section of the line of contact by using artillery guns and armored vehicles. NKR Defense Army is suppressing the aggressive actions of the enemy. -0-
